SHE CAME IN through the bathroom window
whoa - I'm first to post on the last night of the creat cover-up? No way! Margarita? Jason0x21? Badger? WAKE UP!!!!
edit: and of course margarita_5 and badger post while I'm still babbling on...
edit2: and here's jason0x21's input

A GREAT great night - I am still bouncing.

Loved the first band (covering a band from Athens, Georgia, who were not REM). Bouncy, good - definitely got me started. Ankle a little sore, but that worked itself out over the night.

I think the next one was the TV covers, but I might have forgotten someone - the Pull-ups commercial fried my brain. Knight Rider froze it again - REBOOT!

Next up, Love - a 60s band from LA. I only knew one song, but I think that will have to change. In my head, I was constantly going, "Why have I never heard these on the radio - they are so much better than most of the oldies they do play!" I guess they are just too hard to categorize.

Then, Hootie and the - No, wait! We are saved!!! Maybe. A fun cover of "Sexy Back" by someone who could really move, and a good team doing backup. It was very hard to stay standing up - I was rotflmao inside. This is the third time I've seen that song in two weeks. I think he finished with, "there's only one song by Justin worth doing" so we moved on to...

The Cult - well done, but I was still laughing too hard at Justin. Took a couple of songs to get into their groove, but I managed. Great costumes, great show.

The last band sets up, and we're very confused. Flannel? A keyboard for the frontman? WTF? They pull back the curtain, and we're still confused - the flannel is gone, but they're just wearing regular clothes. I guess no costumes - hope they play something goo... umm, is that? OH MY GOD, THAT'S BEATLES!!!!

In yet another 3rd-time personal cosmic coincidence, they cover the last half of Abbey Road, which is a major part of the Sgt Pepper movie that I watched last week. They cover it well. No, better than well - if zenhack had been there, I think he would have come to understand my adoration of the Beatles a little better.

They did not play Maxwell's Silver Hammer, my favorite Beatles of all time (and it is SO HARD to pick just one), but they did play You Never Give Me Your Money, Polythene Pam and Bathroom Window ("So I quit the police department/Got myself a steady job.") and Majesty ("Gonna tell her I love her a lot, but I gotta get a bellyful of wine. Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl, someday I'm gonna make her mine.") I screamed, I cried, I turned back into the 12 yo Beatlemaniac I once was... If I'd'a known, I'd have made sure there were panties available for throwing on stage. (My jeans were too tight - I am no Hansel)

I went to sleep to Bathroom Window, woke up to Polythene Pam, can't get them out of my head, and I'm SO HAPPY!!!!!! BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE (ad infinitium). Poor zenhack. Feel sympathy for him. I think I'm going to go watch a certain movie again...

I'm afraid I was woefully underwhelmed with the first three acts and bugged out around midnight. Just wasn't feeling it...and I'm ok with that. Glad you had fun!! :-)

Hey, it takes time to start with 86 raw pictures, throw out the egregiously bad ones to reduce that to 16, process and upload them :). The real time was dealing with LJ's "post to journal" interface which'd go much faster for me if it retained memory of last or preferred settings. Since I don't do the detailed analyses and reviews that [info]jason0x21 does, I try to make up for it by adding some pictures.

Oddly and unintentionally I posted the day 3 review at the exact same minute of the day that I posted the day 2 review the day before. Didn't get up at the same time, though, and didn't set the time post to match either. Eh. Consistency is inconsistently a virtue.
